Everything you need to know about P.S. Noted.

🚀 Getting Started

  1. Go to the Chrome Web Store
  2. Search for "P.S. Noted" and click Add to Chrome
  3. Click Add Extension in the confirmation popup
  4. Visit Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini — you'll see the purple P.S. tab on the right edge
  5. Click it to open your shelf
Tip: P.S. Noted also works on Microsoft Edge — install it from the Chrome Web Store while using Edge.
P.S. Noted works on Claude, ChatGPT, and Gemini out of the box. You can also enable it on any other AI site — go to Settings ⚙ → Enabled Sites → type the domain (e.g. perplexity.ai) and click Add.
No account needed. P.S. Noted stores everything locally using Chrome's built-in sync storage. Your data never touches our servers. Pro is activated with a license key — no login required.

✦ Shelf & Highlights

  1. Select any text on an AI page by clicking and dragging
  2. A "Save to shelf" tooltip appears above your selection
  3. Click the colored circle for the profile you want to save it to
  4. Done — it appears on your shelf instantly
Tip: The tooltip only shows unboxed profiles. If a profile is in a box, it won't appear here — open that box to access it.
Open the Shelf tab and type in the search bar at the top. It searches across the text content, labels, tags, and profile names in real time.
Use the filter bar below the search box. Click Profiles ▾ to open a checklist of your profiles — tick one or more. Click Boxes ▾ to filter by box. You can combine both filters. Hit ⭐ to show only starred saves. Click ✕ Clear to reset.
On any item in the shelf, click the ＋ tag button. Type your tag and hit Enter. Tags appear as purple pills on the item and are searchable. Click a tag pill to filter the shelf by that tag.
Click the Move button on any item. A dropdown appears showing your other profiles — select one and the item moves instantly.

⌨ Prompts

Go to the Prompts tab. Paste your prompt in the text area, add an optional label, select a profile, add tags if you want, and click Save Prompt.
On any saved prompt in the Shelf, click the green Insert button. The prompt text is pushed directly into the AI's input box — ready to send without copy-pasting.
  1. Go to Settings ⚙ → Keyword Triggers
  2. Add a trigger like -blog and paste the full prompt text
  3. In any AI text box, type -blog followed by a Space
  4. The trigger auto-expands to the full prompt instantly
Tip: Triggers must start with - or /. Free plan includes 5 triggers. Pro is unlimited.

📁 Profiles & Boxes

Go to Settings ⚙ → New Profile. Click the emoji button to pick an emoji, type a name, choose a color, add tags if you want, and click + Add Profile. It appears immediately in the Profiles tab and the shelf filter.
Profiles are color-coded workspaces — every save belongs to a profile (like "Content" or "Dev Builds"). Boxes are curated collections that sit above profiles — you can put entire profiles into a Box, or add individual saves. Think of it like: profiles are your filing system, boxes are your project kits.
Go to the Profiles tab, find the profile, and click ＋Box. A dropdown shows your boxes — pick one. The profile disappears from the Profiles tab and lives inside that box. To unbox it, open the box and click ✕ next to the profile.
It's been boxed — assigned to a Box. Go to the Boxes tab, open the box it's in, and you'll find it there. The sort row on the Profiles tab shows a counter like "2 boxed" so you always know how many are tucked away.

🔗 Sharing & Export

Click the Share button on any profile or box. A dialog appears with two options: Copy Link (generates a URL the recipient can open to browse the contents) or Download .psnoted file (a file they can share via email or messaging). Desktop users with P.S. Noted installed can import shared collections directly.
Click Export on any profile or box. Choose from CSV, Excel (.xls), or JSON. The file downloads immediately with all saves, labels, tags, and metadata included.

💳 Pro & Billing

Open P.S. Noted → Settings ⚙ → click Upgrade $15 ✦. You'll go to the Stripe checkout page. After payment, your license key is emailed instantly. Paste it in Settings → Activate to unlock Pro.
Pro works on up to 3 devices. Free plan is limited to 1 device. Each device is registered when you activate your license key. If you need to move to a new device, email us and we can reset a slot.
